The Green, Green Grass of.....Home!

This Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny 'plot' of grass in front of his tent is heartwarming!
Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box.He asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil -- to bring them good luck.
If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.

The patch says "Doing the work of" ....
The flags are France, Germany, and Russia.

Our Family Marine....C.M. Fernandez III
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made

a Difference in the world.

But, the Marines don't have that problem."

Why? Why? Why?

This pretty much says it all.

A mother asked President Bush, "Why did my son have to die in Iraq?"

Another mother asked President Kennedy,"Why did my son have to die in Viet Nam?"

Another mother asked President Truman,"Why did my son have to die in Korea?

Another mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt,"Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima?"

Another mother asked President W. Wilson, "Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France?"

Yet another mother asked President Lincoln,"Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?"

And yet another mother asked President G. Washington, "Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge?"

Then long, long ago, a mother asked... "Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?"

The answers to all these are similar --
"So that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness and freedom."

Rest In Peace....

This is something you will never see in the news.
Here's a tough, but heartwarming story and a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq .
His wife, Mindy, related that this little girl's entire family was executed.
They intended to execute her also and shot her in the head, but they failed to kill her.
She was cared for by John's hospital and is healing, but has been crying and moaning.
The nurses said John is the only one she seems to calm down with,
so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both sleep in that chair.
The girl is coming along with her healing.
*He is a real Star of the war and is representative of what America is trying to do.
The American public needs to see pictures like this and needs to realize that
what we're doing over there is making a difference.
Even if it is one little girl at a time.
